Rules, Guidelines, and Potential Changes During Your Move

  • ALL ESTIMATES ARE NON-BINDING. FINAL MOVE PRICE IS BASED ON ACTUAL TIME ON SITE. IF MORE OR LESS WORK IS REQUESTED OF THE MOVING TEAM, YOUR FINAL BILL WILL REFLECT THAT
  • All move time that begins before 7am or runs past 7pm will be charged at our overtime/weekend rate. If you would like to avoid that, we are happy to perform your move over multiple days!
  • All hours after the initial eight working hours are charged at our overtime rate. If you would like to avoid that, we are happy to perform your move over multiple days!
  • All moves are automatically covered by the Oregon 60 cents per pound insurance. That is literal. If you would like to purchase higher insurance, please give us a call or talk to your homeowners/renter’s insurance agent!
  • Rescheduling is free of charge. Canceling results in the loss of your deposit.
  • Any handling of pianos, large gun safes, or items over 300 pounds will be charged at a per item fee of $153
  • Any boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap or other packing materials used on site will be charged on a per article basis. Please ask for a list of materials pricing for more information.
  • Movers are not allowed to reassemble bunk beds or cribs, mount TVs, or attach any water or gas lines to appliances upon delivery
  • All TVs, monitors, glass, or art/pictures must be boxed by Cal’s Movers in order to receive insurance coverage. If they are loaded without protection, that are considered Shipped at Your Own Risk
  • We cannot load any flammable, combustible, or load ruining items on to our truck per ODOT regulation. Please ask for a full list if you would like to know more. Time on site to obtain parking permits will be billed hourly.
  • Customers are responsible to reserve parking or obtaining any parking permits that may be needed to perform your move.
  • All elevator and building coordination must be completed by the customer prior to our moving team’s arrival. Time on site to get this done will be billed hourly.
