Cal Himself
Cal is a local Oregonian, raised in the Beaverton Area. Growing up, Cal was an avid sports fan playing football, baseball, and basketball throughout high school. In the Fall of 2016 Cal packed his bags and headed South to Corvallis to begin his Freshman year at Oregon State with the goal of studying Finance. It was during the Winter term of his Sophomore year, Cal’s Moving Help was born.
Cal started the company with a couple morals in mind, instilled in him by his mother, Kathy; treat people fairly and take care of everyone along the way. With those morals in mind, Cal has created an atmosphere where the crew is not just a crew, but a family, and every customer served is treated fairly and with their needs put first.
Cal’s goal with the company is to spread his mother morals all through the state and expand operations back home. If all works out, he would love to be able to afford his parents, Craig and Kathy’s, retirement along with helping his little sister, Kaci, get through nursing school.
Our Story
The Start
In the winter of 2018 Cal was working through his sophomore year at Oregon State. Cal, a self-funded student, worked odd jobs to help pay for classes. Fed up with the little hours and pay, Cal took the $500 left in his bank account, bought moving pads, tape, a hand truck and began recruiting guys out of his fraternity to help him load and unload Uhauls. With the continued help from his fraternity brothers and support from family, Cal has grown Cal’s Moving Help in to the premiere moving company in the area owning trucks of his own along with an all new office space!
Our Values
Growing up in the Portland Metro area, Cal worked for moving companies all through high school. Through his time he picked up on the good and the bad of industry. Cal built his business with his crew and customers in mind. Cal only hires clean-cut, friendly, well-spoken workers to represent his company. Our focus is to provide exceptional service while still maintaining a positive atmosphere with friendly workers who take pride in their job.
